Ingrid Wesström is an associate professor with collaboration duties in soil physics with a focus on agricultural water management. Ingrid wants to contribute to a future viable agriculture that is based on sustainable land and water use.

Too much or too little water has always been one of the biggest limitations for optimal plant production. In a changing climate, it is expected to become an even greater challenge to counteract the effects of floods and droughts. SLU has an important task in the work of contributing to climate-adapted cultivation systems and knowledge about water management in agriculture in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
