Presentation

My research focus is on the deposition of atmospheric pollutants as disturbance factors. I am particularly interested in how eutrophication and acidification affect vegetation community stability. My other main focus is environmental monitoring. I am the co-ordinator for SLU's environmental monitoring and assessment programme focussed on alpine and arctic habitats (FOMA Fjäll/Arktis), and I am also active in the ICP Integrated Monitoring and eLTER networks. ICP IM is a body under the United Nations Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution, and the Programme Centre is based at SLU, while the Integrated European long-term ecosystem, critical zone, and socio- ecological system research infrastructure (eLTER RI) is a European network of sites that integrate measurements from the atmosphere, geosphere, biosphere, aquasphere and sociosphere.
