Marcus Wallin

Associate Professor, Division of Geochemistry and Hydrology
My research focus on the landscape carbon balance. We investigate how carbon is cycled and transported between soil, water and atmosphere, and how these processes are affected by different anthropogenic pressures.

Research

Our reserach focus on the landscape carbon (C) balance and particular the influence of streams and lakes and their function as processors and transporters of C across the terrestrial/aquatic/atmosphere interfaces. Much of the research focus on 1) the terrestrial/aquatic hydrochemical connectivity and how it is affected by different human disturbances. 2) aquatic/atmospheric interactions with focus on controls of the exchange of C between water and air.

Teaching

I am course leader for Geology and Hydrology (Mv0226), 7.5 hp which is given within the bachelor program in Biology and Environmental science, and Agronomy program soil and plant. I have also teaching within the course Environmental Assessment (Mx0152).
