Presentation

I am a PhD student in forest remote sensing. My research is in the use of both drone-borne and terrestrial radar in non-invasive study of subsurface soil features and properties. This research explores experimental radar techniques with a focus on sustainable forest management.

Research

Drone-borne radar is a rapidly developing, powerful approach for investigating soil properties, particularly when integrated with high-resolution topographic data. My research incorporates laser-scanned terrain models with synthetic aperture radar and ground-penetrating radar to obtain a comprehensive view of subsurface features. My work focuses primarily on P-band and L-band radar systems, with potential for upscaling to broader scales and related applications. Results demonstrate the promise and capability of these methods to quantitatively assess a range of subsurface features.
