Referral and consultation
The Ruminants Clinic accepts referrals of large and small ruminants from all over Sweden for surgical procedures or medical investigations and treatments. Pick-up with animal transport is offered for animals within about 100 km of Uppsala.
The Department of Clinical Sciences has a wide range of expertise and therefore we also offer advice to veterinarians in individual and herd medicine, disease prevention and production optimization.
For non-urgent referral or advice, please fill in our referral form which you can found further below. Send the referral form to our e-mail at: idisslarkliniken@slu.se. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
For urgent advice or urgent referrals, call +4618-67 19 29 on weekdays between 08.00-16.00.
Please note that animals that are sick but are not considered to suffer from transportation may be transported (1 chapter 2§ 4st. SJVFS 2019:7) but that not all animals are suitable for referral.
