Jean-Francois supervises and participates in theoretical and practical teaching and other activities of the clinic (medicine, surgery and investigation of herd problems).
The main interest is in the development of clinical and educational activities and research aimed at improving the identification, treatment and prevention of production-related diseases in cattle. The latter both at individual and herd level.
Sara Hägglund, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Sciences (KV); Ruminant Medicine Unit

- Docent in veterinary science with a focus on ruminant infectious diseases and immunity
Sara's main interest is in production-related diseases in cattle, and development of combined clinical, medical and scientific competences in the veterinary profession.
She is involved in theoretical and clinical teaching, clinical activities and counseling. Sara is also part course leader for ruminants in veterinary propaedeutics and clinical veterinary medicine in Year 4-5, at the veterinary program, SLU. She is resident at the European College for Bovine Health Management.
Catarina Svensson, Professor at the Department of Clinical Sciences (KV); Unit for Ruminant Medicine

Catarina's main interest is in methodology in animal health counseling, calf and young animal health, and production diseases.
She participates in teaching mainly in preventive herd management in dairy herds and investigation of herd problems, as well as in animal health advice to dairy herds.

Salvatore Ferraro, Clinical Coordinator

- Teacher and coordinator at the Ruminants Clinic
Salvatrore graduated as a veterinarian in Italy in 2008 and worked for several years in cattle practice in Italy and France, and started a recidency program in 2016 in 'Bovine health management' at Université de Montréal, Canada.
He supervises and participates in theoretical and practical teaching at the Ruminants Clinic. Main interest is to develop diagnostic rapid tests and lameness in cattle.
Iraj Mansouryan Tabaei, Licensed Veterinarian, Assistant Professor
- Licensed clinical veterinarian and licensed veterinary nurse with main interest in infectious diseases and imaging in cattle
Iraj works with animals at the Ruminants clinic and participates in clinical teaching and supervision of veterinary students during their clinical courses and stay at the Ruminants clinic.
Desirée Lindholm, Licensed Veterinarian, Assistant Professor
Desirée graduated from the veterinary program at SLU in 2021. She has since worked as an ambulatory veterinarian in mixed field practice for three years. Before that, she worked as an X-ray technician at the Diagnostic Imaging Department at SLU University Animal Hospital.
She works with animals at the Ruminants Clinic and participates in clinical teaching and supervision of veterinary students during their clinical courses and stay at the Ruminants Clinic. She is mainly interested in emergency medical care of cattle.
Sofia Carlsson, Licensed Veterinarian
Sofia graduated from the veterinary program at SLU in 2023. After graduation, Sofia worked as an ambulatory veterinarian for two years, manly with large animal. Before graduating, Sofia worked as an animal caretaker at a small animal clinic and horse clinic, as well as an animal caretaker on a dairy farm.
Sofia is doing her internship at the Ruminants Clinic, working with animals and participating in clinical teaching and supervision of veterinary students. She is particularly interested in ruminant surgery.
