General tips for your stay in Sweden
In Sweden, the local currency is the Swedish crown (SEK). Paying with cash is, however, uncommon and therefore it is not necessary to bring cash. You can pay by card.
The weather in southern Sweden
In early autumn the weather in southern Sweden is cool and variable, with daytime temperatures ranging between 10 - 20 degrees C. The most constant condition we have in Malmö is wind. Therefore, we advise participants to bring a jacket that offers wind and rain protection and comfortable yet sturdy shoes that can also be worn during our short field trip. We recommend you to also check the weather forecast for Malmö shortly before your trip.
Accomodation and transport
Getting to and from the meeting venue in Alnarp
To ease commuting to and from the meeting venue, we will provide daily shuttle buses between Malmö main station (Malmö C) and Alnarp. On the day of the dinner, the bus will go directly from Alnarp to the restaurant venue at Nobeltorget. To make use of these buses, we ask you to sign up for a seat on the bus during registration. Exact times and meeting locations will be communicated closer to date.
For you who want more flexibility and travel on your own, Alnarp can be reached by train and bus. From Malmö C you take a train to Burlöv, where you change to a regional bus 139 towards Lund. You get off at Campus Alnarp. The website/app Skånetrafiken can be used to plan this journey and buy tickets. Tickets cannot be bought from the driver.
