Stay at Grimsö Research Station

You can stay at the Grimsö Wildlife Research Station for a shorter sojourn or longer periods! We will be happy to welcome groups who would like a pleasant and interesting venue for their conference.

Grimsö has rooms and cabins that you can book through our online booking system. The Facility management will need to approve all bookings and you will subsequently receive confirmation via text message or email. Longer term stays and certain add-on services can be booked directly via email.

Booking

You book rooms in a cabin or in the manor building in our booking system. More information can be found on this page (in Swedish).

Checking in and out

Check-in opens at 14:00 and check-out no later than 10:00

Lodging

Grimsö offers different types of lodging for shorter and longer stays, respectively.  

Manor

9 rooms, maximum of 2 guests per room. Shower and toilets are shared with other guests at the manor. The price includes bedlinen, towels and cleaning. In consideration of people with allergies we refer guests with pets to two of our cabins.

Cabins

4 cabins with two rooms in each cabin. Shared kitchenette, toilet and shower. 2 beds in each room. The price includes bedlinen, towels and cleaning. Pets are allowed in cabins 1 and 2.

Lodging for long-term stays 

Torpet and Loftstugan can be booked for longer stays (no less than 14 days). These options are currently not available to book in our booking system, contact us at intendentur.grimso@slu.se. The price does not include bedlinen, towels or cleaning.

Bed-making and cleaning

Cleaning is only included in the price for our short-term stays.

Breakfast is not included in the price listed in the booking system but can be ordered as an add-on service under certain conditions. You can also pay a small fee to have your bed made. Otherwise you make your own bed. You will find the bedlinen on the bed. 

Payment

Card payments on site or by invoice. Invoicing is available for companies and SLU employees (a booking reference is required).

Cancellations

Cancellations free of charge must be made no later than one week prior to arrival. Subsequently, a 50 % fee of the total cost will be charged. If the stay is not cancelled or cancelled on the same day, the guest will be charged 100 percent of the cost.

Would you like to extend your stay?

You are free to extend your stay if there are rooms available – make a new booking in the system. Deductions for individual nights are not possible.
