Praciticing Historical Ecology
Practicing Historical Ecology is intended to be both a practical guide as well as a thoughtful consideration of the methods, techniques, and underlying concepts of Historical Ecology.
Historical ecology is a research field that lies at the intersection of man, nature, and history, and can be approached from many different disciplines: archaeology, ecology, geography, ethnology, botany, anthropology, history, and landscape research.
The book is aimed at researchers who are curious about historical ecology and want to learn about its methods. The authors intend to provide an overview of many of the methods, techniques, and data used in the collection, analysis, and integration of complex regional historical projects.
