Faculty of Forest Sciences

The Faculty of Forest Sciences occupies a unique position. No other Swedish university conducts research and offers educational courses in forestry at the same level. The faculty also holds a strong position internationally, with by far the largest number of publications within the field of forestry.

    Fearless, aggressive and infectious, rats exposed to human medicines are thought to be causing major problems. Equipped with GPS collars and traps, researchers from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences are now finding out what drugs the rodents are ingesting and how it affects them.

    A Warm Farewell: Jörg Brunet Honored for His Teaching Ahead of Retirement

    Jörg Brunet, Professor of Forest Ecology at SLU in Alnarp, has been honored with the Alnarp Student Union’s Teaching Award – a tribute to his many years of dedicated and widely appreciated teaching. As he nears retirement, he sees the award as a warm and meaningful farewell from the students.
