The partnership stems from an agreement made by Gothenburg University, Karolinska Institutet, Umeå University and Uppsala University in 2023 regarding development work to enable the establishment of the “Centre for Global Transformation for Health”, which in 2024 was named “Sustainable Health in Partnership (SHIP)”. SLU joined the SHIP partnership in February 2025.
