The loss of BIODIVERSITY threatens our health

This policy brief highlights three recommendations from researchers at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) to meet the goals within the framework of the new global biodiversity framework decided at the COP meeting in Montreal at the end of 2022 (in Swedish).

Biodiversity is a prerequisite for resilient ecosystems, and is also the foundation for ecosystem services that we humans depend on. This includes clean air and water, pollination of plants, a good food supply, outdoor recreation, protection against natural disasters and much more. This policy brief highlights three stark recommendations that researchers at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) believe are necessary to meet the goals within the framework of the new global biodiversity framework decided at the COP meeting in Montreal at the end of 2022.
