Degree projects

Do you have ideas for a degree project topic and are interested in collaborating on a specific subject? Towards the end of their degree, students take a degree project course. They are allocated a principal supervisor at SLU and work with a specific research question over a period of 10 to 20 weeks, full-time. If a degree project will be created as part of a collaboration, SLU and the external partner will sign an agreement. Read more about the degree project and external collaborations with students. Placements

Several SLU programmes offer students the chance to participate on placements lasting 5–10 weeks or more. There are also freestanding placement courses. Each placement course has a syllabus outlining the targets to be met. They also contain information about what knowledge the student needs to have acquired upon completion of the placement. Generally, the students themselves arrange a suitable placement. Hosting a student on placement is a chance to gain new perspectives and skills from the student.

SLU Career portal Career Connect

SLU is collaborating with JobTeaser to provide a new portal - Career Connect. Advertising available jobs, placements and degree projects will still be free. All companies, public authorities and organisations who want to advertise on the portal will also be able to create their own page where they can present and profile their activities for SLU students.

Participate in careers fairs at SLU
