Aida Bargués Tobella

I am a soil scientist and ecohydrologist. My research interests are broad and multidisciplinary and revolve around the restoration and sustainable management of tropical dryland ecosystems. My primary research interest is in understanding the potential of tree-based restoration and agroforestry to support and enhance the provision of ecosystem services and contribute to sustainable development, with a focus on dryland sub-Saharan Africa. I am particularly interested in understanding how changes in tree cover, land use and management practices in drylands affect soil health and water availability.
