Roger Finlay

Roger Finlay
I am Professor of Forest Microbiology at the Department of Forest Mycology and Plant Pathology. I head a small research group investigating different aspects of mycorrhizal symbiosis - with particular emphasis on the roles of ectomycorrhizal fungi in weathering of minerals and partitioning and sequestration of C.

Presentation

Current research interests:

  • Mycorrhizal symbiosis
  • Ectomycorrhizal - bacterial interactions
  • Carbon allocation in ectomycorrhizal and arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis
  • Genomic and transcriptomic analysis of bacterial - fungal and fungal - fungal interactions
  • Role of fungi in mineral weathering
