Associate Professor and Scientific lead of the Sow a seed – rainforest restoration research program. In my research I strive to ansver basic and applied questions in relation to forest restoration and biodiversity conservation
Research
With a background in Community and Ecosystem genetics my research has evolved to implement a whole systems approch to understand how forest restoration can be conducted to acheve multipe objectives including environmetal goals. This include research on forest genetics to pre-adapt restoration to future climates, conservation of a range of organism-taxa including plants, vertebrates, invertebrates and microbs, and the linkages between ecological systems and human culture.

I am currently course leader of the course Forest managment and Conservation biology. I am guest lectuarer at several couses at differnt levels.
Educational credentials
As appointed program director I previously was responcible for the education at two study programmes at SLU for a total of six years.
