Annie Hägglund

My research interest lies in understanding the relationship between animal behavior, health, and welfare, as well as the human perspective and the relationship between humans and animals.

In my current research, I focus on how these interconnections are influenced by different production systems. The work also engages with broader issues within anthrozoology and sustainable animal production, encompassing aspects ranging from animal health and welfare to environmental and economic perspectives.

I am particularly interested in how advancing knowledge can contribute to the development of more ethical and sustainable methods in animal production, while at the same time strengthening Sweden’s capacity for self-sufficiency.
