Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Sustainability (EIS)

Updated: May 2025

The EIS group contributes to the missions of sustainable food systems, rural life, and the sustainable use of natural resources – where transformations of human practices are essential - by examining how people and firms organise and engage in entrepreneurial action and innovation processes.

Our research interests lie in the interplay between individuals and their contexts. Empirically, we focus on rural, agricultural and food system contexts, approaching our studies through qualitative methodologies that allow us to contribute valuable insights on entrepreneurial action and innovation in society.

In addition to research, we teach in the department's business administration courses, including in the areas of organisational theory, leadership, marketing, innovation and sustainability.
