Short summary
The purpose of the project is to provide a decision-making basis for practical forest management at both European and regional levels.
The project is expected to contribute knowledge in forest environmental monitoring, guidance in forest management, and the consideration of societal perspectives in decision-making processes related to forests.
FORWARDS will develop a prototype for the ForestWard Observatory, a pan-European monitoring and evaluation tool that will help illustrate the impact of climate change on forests and guide decision-making in forestry.
