Short summary

The project uses ecosystem models and integrated analyses to understand long-term changes in the Baltic Sea marine environment.

Ecosystem models and integrated ecosystem analyses are used as a basis for understanding long-term and large-scale changes in the marine environment. In this project, we collaborate with researchers around the Baltic Sea to develop indicators and methods for assessing the environmental status of food webs. The work develops recommendations for how food webs should be included in marine environmental management.

The work is being carried out within the HELCOM expert group on Foodwebs.
