Short summary
Cattle on heterogeneous semi-natural pastures - nutrient supply and the effect of behaviour on nutrient redistribution between vegetation types within the grazing area.
Aims with the project:
- To obtain a better knowledge about the nutritive value and digestibility of the pasture available for the animals on heterogeneous semi-natural pastures in Sweden.
- To study animal behaviour on pasture and how it affects nitrogen transport between different types of vegetation within a heterogeneous semi-natural pasture.
- To measure the methane emissions from animals fed plant material from mesic and wet semi-natural pasture areas.
