Short summary
VALOR aims to empower actors to better understand their relationship with pollinators and produces co-developed tools for landowners, businesses and policymakers to assess risks and undertake their own studies based on approaches developed in VALOR.
VALOR co-develops a comprehensive systems-based approach to provide a deeper understanding of the cascading impacts of pollinator shifts from flower to fork.
In VALOR, SLU leads a work package on multi-actor engagement and co-development. We conduct discourse analysis with key EU and focal region actors and understand the role of pollinators and knowledge about pollinators in policy formation and governance.
We lead the development of farm economic production functions, in which pollinator contributions to crop production are integrated. We examines how global pollinator shocks affect crop trade and its effects on European agrifood systems.
VALOR is a multi-actor project funded by the HORIZON programme of the EU.
