This is how you get access to the SLU Agricultural Long-Term Experiments

Page reviewed:  08/09/2025

If you wish to use data, archived samples, take measurements or new samples in the experiments, it is important to apply to us well in advance. To use the trials in a research project, submit your application during the planning phase, before you write the project proposal.

Fees

Depending on the scope and the time period covered by a request, the time required to compile and provide data may vary. Retrieving information from long time series or extracting subsamples from archived specimens often takes longer. Therefore, an hourly fee may be charged for requests that take more than three hours to compile (this does not include time spent answering questions via email or phone).

Information about any applicable fees will be communicated after the application is submitted but before the agreement is signed.

Terms and conditions

  • Students can access the trials through their supervisors under the same conditions as researchers. The supervisor must submit the application.
  • Sampling/measurements in the trials may only be conducted together with an approved sampler, after contacting the responsible trial manager.

Principles for Prioritisation

SLU Agricultural Long-Term Experiments are open for use by everyone. However, during periods of high workload, projects affiliated with SLU will be given priority.

For the use of archived samples, where quantities are limited, the scientific quality and/or societal relevance of the project will be assessed.

Application form

To gain access to the SLU Agricultural Long-Term Experiments, please submit an application at the Swedish version of this page. You will also be required to sign an agreement before you can use the trials.
