Welcome Letter
Congratulations on your place on the programme Euroforester (MSc) at SLU in Alnarp. We look forward to welcoming you here this autumn.
The Euroforester Master’s Programme has an international profile and focuses on the sustainable management of forest ecosystems and landscapes while adapting boreal and temperate forest management to global climate change. The programme’s broad scope prepares students for both local and international job markets, in the forest sector and beyond.
The 2026 autumn semester starts with a welcome event, followed by a mandatory roll-call and information session.
Date: Monday 31 August
Time and place: On the New Student web page you can find information about the start of the semester and where and when the roll-call for your programme will take place.
On that same page, you will also find all the information you need as a new student at SLU.
Your first course on the programme is Silviculture of Temperate Forests, 15 credits.On the course page, you will find the timetable and other course-related information. The timetable and reading list are published at least four weeks before the course starts. Here you can find more information about the programme.
We look forward to meeting you! The next two years will be valuable and exciting. Our focus is on your success, but please keep in mind that your academic results depend on your own personal responsibility and effort. Throughout your studies, you will take courses alongside both domestic and international students from other programmes and universities, creating both private and professional life-long relations.
