Page reviewed:  02/05/2026

FFB is built on a broad foundation of national and international partnerships. These collaborations ensure that courses and research activities are anchored in cutting-edge scientific practice and that participants gain exposure to a wide range of professional environments.

Collaborations
FFB is closely integrated with other doctoral education initiatives, including:

  • NJ research schools and interdisciplinary doctoral programmes within the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences
  • LiFT (Future Technologies for Food Production) Graduate School, a national research school for PhD-students in food science and related areas, including but not limited to food technology and engineering, nutrition, economy, agriculture, and sustainable food systems. More information about LiFT: https://foodsciencesweden.se/lift-graduate-school/

National Research Infrastructures
FFB participants have access to state-of-the-art national research infrastructures, including:

  • SwedNMR — the Swedish national NMR centre, providing access to advanced nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy platforms
  • National metabolomics facilities supporting untargeted and targeted metabolite profiling

International Collaborations
FFB participates in European and international research networks, providing opportunities for doctoral students to engage with researchers across borders. Links to EU-funded projects and international partnerships are maintained through the Department of Molecular Sciences and its collaborating departments.
