Upcoming courses and activities in 2025:

An introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 4,5 ECTS

August–October 2025

This course is an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Students will become familiar with the main uses GIS in general, but more specifically, students will work with vector and raster data in hands-on exercises where students learn basic GIS skills.

Qualitative research methods, 5 ECTS

October–November 2025
Contact: Klara Fischer

The course will provide an overview of qualitative methods used in social science. The course is designed around joint reading, written submissions and joint discussions in weekly seminars, connected with the course literature and the PhD student’s own research projects.
