Forskningsdatalivscykeln – hur man samlar in, hanterar, lagrar och delar sina data
Kursbeskrivning
Will you be gathering, processing, or cleaning data during your PhD? Would you like this process to be streamlined and organised from the start? Are you new to data management, or intimidated by the thought of keeping track of your precious research outputs? Good planning from the beginning will save a lot of time, stress and heartache at the end of your analyses and thesis. You will then be prepared for analysing, publishing and sharing data at the end of your PhD.
*The Research Data Lifecycle is an overview of the process of Planning, Collecting, Processing, Analysing, Archiving, and Sharing data. In this course, you will learn best practices for each stage of this process, in line with FAIR data principles. We will discuss general advice on planning field data collection, cleaning data, keeping good metadata (the info about what your data is about), keeping your code tidy, tools like GitHub for version control and collaboration, and how to archive and publish data. These skills will be useful for anyone handling data during their PhD. *
