Karin Wiberg
Jag är fakultetsprofessor och leder en forskargrupp i organisk miljökemi (POPs-gruppen). Vi studerar källor, spridning, omsättning och exponering av långlivade organiska miljöföroreningar (POPs, micropollutants) som t.ex. högfluorerade ämnen (PFAS), läkemedel, PAH, pesticider och flamskyddsmedel.

Presentation

POPs-gruppen strävar efter ökad kunskap om miljöföroreningar och deras effekter i akvatiska och terrestra miljöer. Forskningen omfattar även renings- och saneringstekniker för förbättrad vattenkvalité och hållbart nyttjande av vatten. Vi utvecklar "early warning" metodik och nya strategier för identifiering av tidigare okända kemiska miljö- och hälsorisker med fokus på dricks- och avloppsvatten genom prioriteringsmetodik och avancerad masspektrometri. POPs-gruppen har ett analyslaboratorium (POPs-laboratoriet) för forskning och miljöanalys.
