The Animals thematic group covers areas of knowledge primarily related to production animals for food, but also issues relevant to, for example, horses. Its scope includes animal housing systems, on-farm technology, behaviour, and feed, linked to challenges such as animal welfare, environmental impact, working conditions, and productivity, as well as the use of sensors and AI for in-depth monitoring of animal production.
