  • Lantmännen, close to Ultuna campus
Visit Lantmännen close to Ultuna and learn about seed treatment using Thermoseed, a method based on warm, moist air, as well as about biological seed dressings. We will also cover biostimulants and how we plan to use AI.

  • National reference laboratory for the diagnostics of plant pests, Ultuna
Visit the Swedish Veterinary Agency (SVA), the national expert authority for animal health, zoonoses, and food safety in Sweden, for an introduction to the organization and its activities. The program includes a presentation on ongoing work to establish a National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for plant pests, followed by a guided tour of selected laboratories at SVA. The excursion is mostly inside. Walking distance from Ultuna to SVA: ca 1,2 km.
  • Forest damage excursion close to Ultuna campus
Learn how to detect forest damage caused by insects and pathogens, see some examples in the Garden of Knowledge and other places in walking distance to Ultuna, and get to know how you can report forest damage when you are out and about! This excursion involves a lot of walking and is located outside.
  • SLU Lövsta field researchstation, the BLANDSKAP project
Come on a short bus trip to the field research station Lövsta and get a guided tour on BLANDSKAP: a globally unique project that focuses on reintegrating crop production and grazing livestock within the same agricultural landscape. This excursion involves walking and is located outside.

Posters at the symposium

We will have a poster exhibition during the entire symposium in Ulls hus. At three poster sessions, poster presenters can discuss their work with colleagues and stakeholders. Please observe: we will give some suggestions on how to prepare your poster, with a focus on stakeholders, and there will be a best poster prize.

There will be photos taken for a news article that will be published at SLU. I consent to being photographed:
