Submit and present material

We welcome contributions related to feed science and nutrition within ruminants and horses, which might include following topics:

  • Forage quality and effects on animal performance
  • Metabolic and production responses to dietary inputs
  • Feed conservation
  • Novel feed sources, e.g . legume seeds
  • Feed processing
  • Analytical and experimental methods for feed evaluation
  • Feed evaluation systems
  • Microbiome of ruminants and horses

In addition to standard research papers, we also welcome presentations of planned or on-going research.

Indicative abstract

Abstract submission is now open. The first step is an Indicative abstract (a title and a few sentences) with deadline March 15. This Indicative abstract is only for the editorial board’s use and not to be published. Please send us an e-mail with “NFSC abstract” in the subject line. The text should be in English and should start with a descriptive title, the name of the author(s) and affiliation. It should briefly describe the content of your contribution.

Indicate in your e-mail if you prefer poster or oral presentation. Note that the number of oral presentations will be limited by the organizers.

Full paper

After acceptance of your Indicative abstract, you should submit a full conference abstract. The text should consist of maximum 3 pages and be written in English. All accepted contributions for the Nordic Feed Science Conference will be published as a report. 

Deadline for full contribution is April 15.

Please write your text directly into our Microsoft Word-template in a step-by-step fashion not to lose hidden formatting. Alternatively, use "Paste Special"/ "Unformatted text" to enter your text.

Instructions for presenters, NFSC 2026 

Oral presentations should preferably be supported by power point slides, or similar. Length of each presentation should be at least 5 minutes shorter than allotted time, according to the program, to allow for questions and discussion.

Each poster will be presented for the participants groupwise. The presentations should be no longer than 3 minutes to give room for 1-2 questions. Focus on results as material and methods etc. are available in the conference proceedings. 

The maximum poster size is 70 cm wide by 140 cm high (portrait orientation).
