The Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (LAPF) at SLU Alnarp is an internationally leading academic environment for education, research, collaboration and environmental analysis in issues related to change and development of the landscape.
The department has four subject areas:

Design of Urban Landscapes

The subject area Design of Urban Landscapes promotes design as an indispensable conceptual and technical activity for steering the transformation of contemporary urban landscapes.

Landscape governance and management

We conduct research, development and teaching on governance and management of landscapes, primarily in urban environments. Our expertise largely concerns professional management of outdoor environments.

Urban vegetation

We conduct socially relevant research and teaching in the areas of design, construction and management of vegetation in primarily an urban but also in a rural context.

Landscape planning

Landscape planning encompasses a broad range of research, teaching and environmental monitoring projects (FOMA) related to planning practice.
