NATUREACH - Client groups and measurments

The health effects of virtual nature-based interventions are studied using evidence-based measurement methods; in five groups with clients/patients and one group with healthcare professionals from several units.

Client groups

  • 3.1 - Eskoo, Seinäjoki

    The Seinäjoki unit within Eskoo Joint Municipal Authority is a national pioneer in nature-based methods. The pilot is developing a virtual model for clients with reduced mobility and extensive care needs, providing psychosocial support, recovery, positive experiences, and inclusion.
  • 3.3 Palliative medicine, Umeå

    The project at Palliative Medicine in Umeå offered patients receiving specialized palliative home care in Umeå, together with their relatives when applicable, the opportunity to try virtual nature environments as a complementary method to enhance well-being.
  • 3.4 Österåsen

    The pilot at Österåsen offered participants with type 2 diabetes a virtual reality complement to real nature experiences, aiming to support stress recovery and help them maintain long-term lifestyle improvements in their everyday lives.

Measurements
