The latest statistics

The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is the responsible authority for offical statistics about both the state and changes in Swedish forests.

The quality declarations are only available in Swedish.

Om officiell statistik

SLU is appointed by the government to be responsible for official statistics in the area of forest condition and change. As a statistical authority, SLU is responsible, among other things, for:

  • ensuring the statistics are objective
  • ensuring the statistics are documented
  • ensuring the statistics are accompanied by a quality declaration


Official statistics must be publicly available free of charge and accessible in electronic form.

All official statistics must bear the designation Official Statistics of Sweden or be marked with the following symbol:

Please note that the designation or symbol may not be used when processing or modifying the official statistics on your own.

In SCB’s publication calendar, you can see current publication dates. Select the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences under “Select organisation.”
