Soil and Crop Inventory

In the mid-1990s a program for an area representative monitoring of Swedish arable soils was initiated, financed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

National mapping of arable soils

The Swedish Board of Agriculture has carried out an extensive soil mapping programme of topsoil in Swedish arable land.
