SCNI's activites
SCNI's mission is to work as a competence resource, centre for development and meeting place for everyone who helps people to experience and develop their feelings for and knowledge about the nature and cultural landscape.
By monitoring the world around us, searching for good examples, running development projects, and participating in research and collaboration, SCNI gathers knowledge and experiences, which we share with nature interpreters.
For example, we offer university courses, seminars and workshops, webinars, publications, advice, newsletters, commissioned training, networks and forums in social media.
SCNI collaborates with Interpret Europe and with colleagues in the Nordic countries through the Nordic Cooperation Group for Nature Interpretation.
The basis for SCNI is an agreement between SLU and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
