A large portion of what is grown today is left behind in the field. At the facility in Alnarp, however, proteins and other products can be extracted from green plant material. The different fractions can be used as food and feed, or in cosmetics.

The Plant Protein Group is a research team that brings together researchers with diverse expertise, working collaboratively to develop high-quality proteins for the future – from plant breeding to production and consumption. The group collaborates with farmers and representatives from various industries where the proteins can be of use.
