Nils Fall adds: “It is truly stimulating to see the breadth and success of veterinary medical research.”
All committee members have now received the applications. Each member will assess and highlight their top five applications as an initial selection step.
A future full of promise
The large number of high-quality applications is a reason for optimism. It shows that there is a strong research drive in the Nordic region and that veterinary medicine continues to develop in response to global challenges. This award, being presented for the first time this year, will serve as an important platform to showcase research that benefits not only animals but society as a whole.
The prize committee now faces the challenging task of selecting the first winner, but one thing is already clear: veterinary medical research has a bright future, and the Nordic region remains at the forefront.
