Equine-assisted interventions (HUI) have been a part of Swedish healthcare for over 60 years and have ever since constituted a resource for people with long-term needs for multimodal rehabilitation. The goal of this report is to provide a current analysis and raise important issues that can ensure the welfare of both horses and humans in equine-assisted interventions.
