SLU Future Animals Nature and Health report series, number 3. Green care is at the intersection of rural development, entrepreneurship, a welfare state open to private care providers and a society characterized by gender.
Green care is a relatively limited phenomenon in Sweden and the trend does not appear to be expansion, as in other countries such as Norway and the Netherlands, although individual farms are expanding their operations.
