SLU and Agenda 2030

Education, research and environmental monitoring and assessment produce knowledge that contributes to achieving the goals for sustainable development, both in Sweden and globally.

SLU supports the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in multiple ways.

Much of our research is linked to one or more of the global Sustainable Development Goals. This knowledge has had growing impact in society over the past decade.

The 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015. They aim to reduce poverty, ensure food security, improve education and health, combat climate change, and promote sustainable use of marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
