Cabins

Svea offers modern, well-equipped cabins for both crew and research personnel.

Life on board Svea is comfortable, whether you're at sea for two days or three weeks. Almost all guests have a private cabin with a desk, storage, and en-suite bathroom. The vessel’s comfort classification (COMF-C(2)V(2)) ensures low noise and vibration levels, even while underway. Each cabin provides space for both work and rest.

The ship has a total of 32 berths, distributed across 24 single cabins and 4 double cabins – all with windows. At least 11 cabins are reserved for crew and technical staff. Up to 21 berths can be made available to researchers and expedition participants, depending on the number of support personnel required for a given expedition.

Onboard communication is well developed, with WiFi available via Starlink, VSAT, or 4G when in range. In port, the vessel connects to a land-based network.
