Flex laboratory

The flex lab is equipped with large-capacity drains and deep sinks for working with sediments – for example, sieving benthic fauna or processing geological samples. It also serves as a suitable service space for larger instruments such as remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) or towed equipment.

Function and use:

• Workspace for handling and assembling instrument platforms, such as ROTVs, before and after deployment
• Frequently used for processing sediment samples
• Features durable furnishings and resilient surfaces – designed for wet, dirty, and occasionally heavy-duty tasks
• Access to electricity, freshwater, compressed air, and data connections
