Working deck

The work deck accommodates a wide range of operations – from sampling and instrument deployment to trawling, sediment coring, and the use of container-mounted laboratories.

For specific research needs, additional laboratories, instruments, or other equipment can be brought on board in standard shipping containers. The work deck is configured to support multiple layouts:

• Two 20-foot containers lengthwise, or one 20-foot container crosswise on the starboard side
• One 20-foot container placed centrally, or two 10-foot containers
• A total of up to three 20-foot containers can be accommodated simultaneously

All containers can be connected to power, water, and data networks as required. They are easily loaded using the ship’s crane and securely fastened according to standard procedures.
