Short summary

What CUALITY is about?

In this project initiated a new collaboration to synergistically develop and establish a platform that will enable us to study adaptation strategies of ubiquitous freshwater microbes to exposure to excess nutrients (i.e. eutrophication). To achieve this, we will leverage the exceptional expertise of the Korean team in isolating and maintaining sustainable cultures of oligotrophic freshwater bacteria and capitalize on the extensive knowledge of the Swedish team in single cell isolation, genomics, metagenomics, and transcriptomics analyses as well as lake ecosystem ecology.
