Swedish Centre for Animal Welfare, SCAW

SCAW is a center formation at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) working with animal welfare issues. We are part of national and international collaborations focusing on animal welfare. SCAW is also the National Contact Point (NCP) for slaughter and provides administrative support to the Scientific Council for Animal Welfare.

NordCAW

NordCAW's purpose is to facilitate communication on animal welfare and related issues between the scientific community, authorities, primary producers, and the broader public in the Nordic region.

EURCAW - Ruminants and Equines

EURCAW – Ruminants & Equines is tasked with supporting Member States in the implementation and enforcement of the EU's animal welfare legislation for ruminants and equines.

WOAH

The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) supports Member States in developing animal welfare regulations by providing training, advice, and research. SCAW is part of a joint WOAH Collaborating Centre for animal protection and welfare.

NCP slaughter and killing

SCAW is the National Contact Point (NCP) for slaughter and other types of killing.
