In addition to the Ultuna campus's general lecture rooms, HBIO also conducts teaching in several specialized facilities, uniquely adapted for our teaching elements.

HBIO: A part of SLU

The teaching at HBIO includes anatomy, bacteriology, cell biology, pharmacology, physiology, histology, genetics, immunology, parasitology, pathology, toxicology, veterinary public health (including food hygiene and food safety), veterinary biochemistry and virology.

Anatomical demonstrations and pathology rounds are performed here.

Here, microscopy of histological preparations is taught.

Here the anatomy of the healthy animal is studied through osteologic studies of bone material and dissection of soft material.

House 3 is home to HBIO's goats, which are used in teaching for practical exercises in areas such as physiology.

The pathology theater is an anatomical theater for the demonstration of clinical animal material.

Ymer is a training lab for biochemistry and microbiology. The lab is safety classified for work with infectious microorganisms.
