Our four locations

The departments' aim is to promote good animal management and welfare and sustainable food production with high product quality through research and education on animals with a focus on feed and nutrition, management and environment, ethology and animal ethics, animal welfare and protection. We are located in four cities: Gothenburg, Skara, Umeå and Uppsala. In addition to our work on a global and national level, we have well-established local collaborations in all our locations. Here, we provide a brief overview of our site-specific activities.
Our four locations:
Gullmarn – above and below the surface.

Gothenburg

In Gothenburg our activities are related to fish welfare, environment, and health. We pool resources with the University of Gothenburg.
