The Swedish National Forest Inventory reports official statistics on the condition and change of forests and is based on a nationwide annual sample inventory of Sweden's forests that has been conducted since 1923.
Statistics are available for various areas, including area conditions, timber stock and tree biomass, annual growth, forest damage, vegetation and site conditions, felling, as well as detailed inventories of plants, counts of blueberries and lingonberries, and inventories of specific objects, such as ant hills and traces and signs of woodpeckers.
