The Department of Economics trains economists and business administrators with special expertise in natural resources and in agriculture. This means that you can get a job position in exciting companies and authorities both in Sweden and internationally.

What do we offer?

Programmes

We offer programmes to educate economists and business administrators with special expertise in natural resources and in agriculture.

Courses

We offer more than 30 master's level courses. The courses are for both independent students and programme students.

The Programme Board of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Science has decided on 17 January 2025 to discontinue some of the department's courses that are no longer active. According to the transitional rules, the Department of Economics will offer at least three resits and also at least one opportunity to fulfill compulsory components until June 2027. Information

Exam hand-out

Graded exams may be collected on Wednesdays between 12:30-14:30 at the department on Ulls väg 27, Ulls hus, 4th floor. Please remember to bring your ID. NOTE! We only hand out exams from courses given by the Department of Economics.

General resit exams

General resit exams are given at two occasions: mid-August for courses in period 1-3, and mid-November for courses in period 4. To attend a resit you must self-register in Ladok no later than 10 working days prior to the exam.

Since good competence in Excel is a highly sought-after quality, both during studies and in working life, our students have access to Learnesy's popular Excel course Basic.

Brief information about the course:

  • The course consists of 80 lessons divided into 14 chapters and takes about 10 hours to complete.
  • It is a self-study course and you take the course at the pace that suits you best. Take the opportunity to rehearse unlimitedly.
  • After completing the course, you will receive a personal diploma that you can add to your Linkedin page or your CV.

This course will no longer be available after June 2025. Another Excel course will be offered instead starting in the fall of 2025. More information to come.
